Peoples Health is teaming up with Louisiana Councils on Aging to arm the organization’s meal delivery staff with 1,000 face masks and equal containers of hand sanitizer.
The donation comes at a critical time during a public health emergency. The protective equipment will offer security to both the delivery workers and recipients of Louisiana Councils on Aging’s meal delivery programs, including socially isolated, homebound and underserved seniors within the community.
Peoples Health will be coordinating additional donation deliveries on May 21 to the East Baton Rouge and the Tangipahoa Councils on Aging and on May 22 to the Lafayette and the Terrebonne Councils on Aging.
